Mr Lee graduated in 1971 as a Professional Naval architect & Marine engineer from PUSAN National University and obtained a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Naval architecture of PUSAN National University in 1985.
A permanent member of the Society of Naval Architects of Korea since 1975 Mr Lee obtained a Professional engineering license from Korean government in 1982. He was then appointed as a Technical committee member of KOSHIPA (Korea builders, association) from 1982 to 2008 and during the same period also appointed as a Technical committee member of ABS, NK, BV, Lloyds and KR class in Korea.
He has been actively involved in the highest level of Newbuilding sector with 38 year’s experience in New ship Design & Building, Sales engineering, Purchasing and Business.
Mr Lee has served as General Manager of Basic Design Department and Research Institute of HANJIN Heavy Industries & Construction Co, LTD, for seventeen (17) years and subsequently as Managing director of Design and Business/Purchasing Division of DAE SUN Ship Building & Engineering Co., LTD. for eighteen (18) years.
Over this period he has led teams for design of more than two hundred (200) Vessels including Bulk /Log Carriers, Product & Crude Oil Tankers, General Cargo/Multi Purpose Ship, Container Vessels , Reefers, Cement Carriers, Navy and Research Vessels, RO-RO Carriers, LPG Carrier and Car Carriers.
Mr Lee is the ex-President and current representative of the Korean Shipbuilding Professional Engineers Association, a member of KESEG (Korea Shipbuilding Engineering Group) and a founding member of Magna Mare Co.,LTD
He is currently heading the Makers Representation in the S.Korean Market.
